A generously-sized earthenware mug / tankard in warm earth tones, hand-made by Adam Sutherland as prototypes for The Farmer's Arms pub. Each holds just under a pint (or 500ml). Hand thrown and then glazed using a traditional technique called 'blown mocha ware’ giving each piece a unique design.
Writer George Orwell believed beer to taste better from a clay vessel, and until the early 20th century most British pubs would have served beer in pottery tankards like these.
Dishwasher proof.
